KNOWN ISSUES
-
FIXED v1.2.2
Touch controls unresponsive after alt-tab —
Switching away from the game and back (alt-tab / app switching) sometimes caused
touch controls to become unresponsive. This was fixed in v1.2.2 with improved
input re-initialization on app resume.
-
KNOWN
High battery drain during Marketplace Arena —
The Marketplace Arena mode causes higher-than-expected battery drain on some devices
due to intensive particle effects and network activity. Reducing graphics quality to
Medium helps. A further optimization pass is planned.
-
FIXED v1.1.0
Notification banner blocking gameplay —
Incoming notifications could overlap with the top HUD elements. Fixed in v1.1.0 by
adjusting the safe area insets.
-
FIXED v1.2.0
Audio continues after locking the screen —
Game audio would keep playing after the device was locked. Resolved in v1.2.0.
BATTERY OPTIMIZATION TIPS
Mobile gaming can drain your battery quickly. Here are tips to extend your play time:
-
Lower graphics quality: Settings > Video > Quality — choose
Medium or Low. This reduces GPU workload significantly.
-
Reduce screen brightness: Lower your display brightness to 50% or
enable auto-brightness.
-
Lock frame rate to 30 FPS: Settings > Video > Frame Limit >
30. This halves the rendering workload compared to 60 FPS.
-
Disable haptics: Settings > Controls > Vibration > Off.
Haptic motors consume battery.
-
Enable power saving mode: Your device's built-in battery saver can
extend play time, though it may limit performance.
-
Close background apps: Other apps running in the background consume
CPU and memory.
-
Use Wi-Fi instead of cellular: Wi-Fi typically uses less power than
mobile data.
DATA USAGE ESTIMATES
GDC Blaster 2000 uses a modest amount of data for online features. Estimates based on
typical gameplay sessions:
- Solo campaign (online features): ~5-10 MB per hour (leaderboards, daily challenges)
- Online co-op (2 players): ~30-50 MB per hour
- Online co-op (4 players): ~60-90 MB per hour
- Marketplace browsing: ~2-5 MB per session (item thumbnails cached locally)
- Game updates: Vary by patch size (typically 100-500 MB)
Tip: Download updates over Wi-Fi to avoid exceeding your mobile data plan. Enable
"Wi-Fi Only Updates" in your app store settings.
PLATFORM-SPECIFIC TIPS
CLOUD SAVE SYNC
Mobile saves sync automatically via your GDC account. Sign in with the same account on
any platform to access your progress. Sync occurs when the game launches and when you
return to the main menu.
NOTIFICATIONS
Enable push notifications (Settings > Notifications) to receive alerts for:
- Daily challenge resets
- Limited-time Marketplace events
- Friends coming online
- Patch and update availability
SCREEN RECORDING AND STREAMING
The game supports native screen recording on both iOS (Control Center > Screen Record)
and Android (Quick Settings > Screen Record). Note that screen recording may reduce
frame rate by 5-10% on lower-end devices.
TROUBLESHOOTING
GAME WON'T LAUNCH OR CRASHES ON STARTUP
- Ensure your device meets the minimum requirements
- Update the game to the latest version from the App Store / Google Play

TOUCH CONTROLS NOT WORKING
- Ensure no screen protector or case is interfering with touch input
- Disconnect any Bluetooth controllers — the game may be defaulting to controller mode
- Reset touch layout to default: Settings > Controls > Reset to Default
- Restart the game
OVERHEATING
- Remove your phone case while playing to improve heat dissipation
- Lower graphics quality and frame rate cap
- Avoid playing while charging, which generates additional heat
- Take breaks every 30-45 minutes during extended sessions
- If the device displays a thermal warning, close the game and let it cool down
BLUETOOTH CONTROLLER LAG
- Move closer to the device (keep within 3 feet)
- Disconnect other Bluetooth devices to reduce interference
- Update controller firmware if available
- On Android, enable "Gaming Mode" for prioritized Bluetooth connection
